Shake your Boot-ie; Competition by Barratt's and "Hello, Terri Lowe"

Hello everyone :)

I hope you're not all fed up with all these competition posts, there aren't that many really, it's just that they have been all recently... Anyways :) I was sent an e-mail by Kieron from Barratt's inviting me to participate in this lovely competition to win £70 worth of shoes and all you need to do is pick your favourite shoes from their website.

To find out more about this competition click here:

Now, I don't like "boring" shoes, I like the extreme shoes, the really high ones, or the really bright ones... On this particular web-site, I have found some really high ones...

/!\ Beware /!\ There are a lot of studs ;)

  • The studded Litas on the far left of the picture are Truffle Stud Trim Lace up Ankle boots. I already own  a pair of Litas from Truffle (that are bright pink) and they are really comfy :), I wear them as much as possible and really want a black pair (preferably studded) to wear with anything and everything ;) Isn't black great??

  • The shoes on the top right of the picture are Truffle Stud Trim Wedge Ankle Boots, they are priced at £36. No, they're not expensive and yes, look at them, they ARE amazing. (They would go perfectly well with the Black Evening Dress I got from River Island (that I need to show you by the way!)).

  • The high heels on the bottom left of the picture are (the cheapest ever??) Zebra Print Concealed Platform Court Shoes by Sherbert for £18 !! Yes, £18 (aren't they cute??). These shoes have 2 reviews and both are positive giving 5stars each! Have I managed to sell them to you yet?

  • And last, but not least, the wedges on the bottom right of the picture are Woven detail platform wedge sandals by Truffle. They are priced at £31.50. I find the colour amazing (although they also have them in black and pink)
There :) I hope you enjoyed this post, and please tell me if you take part in this competition, I would love to see what you picked! Do you think I made some good choices?

Happy blogging and stay tuned :)

#4 Nail frenzy- Happy halloween!

Hiya :)

Yes, it's another nail tutorial, but I just had to get this up before Halloween. So the usual disasters happened, my first (beautiful) attempts got knocked about and/or squished (who peels potatoes with wet nail polish anyway? oh yeah, that would be me...), and then on the photos that show cute little "things", I have nail polish everywhere :( So you will have to excuse all these lame problems I had and admire my cute little... Pumpkins and ghosts :D

You will need:
- Black or deep purple nail polish
- Orange nail polish
- White nail polish
- A couple of cocktail sticks
- Patience (I don't possess this personally)
- Nail polish remover...

I apologise for the awful photo quality & for the slobber (which was removed by the way!!)

New post coming soon :)& no Wednesday's dream wish list tomorrow as I have no time :P

Happy blogging and stay tuned,

#3 Nail frenzy- 1up!

Hiya :)

Quick little nail tutorial today featuring... TOAD! (From Mario for those of you that don't know him (shame on you by the way ;)). Toad is the cutest little creature ever so I have decided to make him a special little place on my nails :). The end result wasn't completely satisfying as I don't own a black nail polish (now it's shame on me!). As soon as I get some money I will be purchasing a black nail polish... Anyway, here's how I did it :
You will need:
- Red nail polish
- White nail polish
- Couple of cocktail sticks
- Patience
- A picture of toad
Isn't he cute??
I used a Lancôme red nail polish (Miss Coquelicot)

I applied a standard base coat and then applied the red

I did the white dots just by blobbing but I draw Toad with a cocktail stick
There :) What do you think? If you have any questions regarding this tutorial don't hesitate to ask :)

Happy blogging and stay tuned,
Ellen xx

Bambi babe

Hey everyone :)
I just want to show you my new jumper from HandM, it is absolutely gorgeous and I love to wear it, it goes with anything (literally) and it's soo warm!

I teamed it with my new Hidden Heel high tops... I had been looking for a pair of these for ages as you already knew and when I finally found these (in Primark!) for £20 !! (Can you believe it?) I was over the moon, they look really expensive, are very comfortable and are well made. They are a nice colour and I would happily wear them day in day out. The leggings are HandM also, just from the basic collection.

Sorry about the rubbish photo quality, hopefully i will be getting a new camera at christmas (woop woop!).

Today I have painted my nails in a special little way and if I have time I will write that tutorial tomorrow. I'll give you a clue: it's 1 up! Hehehe

Happy blogging and stay tuned :)

Fashion blogger competition with giftsvouchers uk!

Hello everyone :)
Hope you're all okay, I'm sorry about the lack of posts, I keep meanong too but I have so much work and well you know how it goes! Bring on half term is all I can say ;)

Today's post is a sort of "replacement" for Wednesday's dream wish list because it does involve making a list but this time a gift list...

Fantastic Fashion Gifts for £35 or less by is a blogger competition. I received an e-mail inviting me to take part in it and so... I have!

To enter yourself, or to read more about it click here: How to enter :)

Here goes:

1) Everybody needs a pair of quirky , cool and edgy leggings in their life... Well, look no further than Lovely Sally. After admiring all their lush leggings I finally opted for a pair that are edgy without being too edgy and this pair is called Shouting Smoke £32.51
2) Hello Gorgeous gift box from Lush £20.95
Personnally, I love sweets, not only are they yummy but they're pretty too. I have found a non-fat alternative: Hello Gorgeous gift box is all that minus the extra pounds on you're body. (Oh and don't eat the contents even if they do look and smell good (really good!)).
This is THE perfect gift.

3) Lipsy Zebra iPhone case... £12.00
Who loves Lipsy? Of course you do. Their dresses are stunning, beautiful, dreamy ahhh<3 but to fulfill your Lipsy adoration without spending loads of money on a dress you probably don't need (because let's face it, you have already bought 5 other Lipsy dresses), you can now buy a phone case...
They have a couple of different styles, and they do them for iPhones and Blackberrys, they are beautiful (and this is the one I want by the way)

4) Lipsy Rabbit Ear Muffs £12.00
These are so sweet, and if you get that well known feeling in the middle of winter, when it's just too cold to wear anything other than that warmest warm jumper you own then you can sprice it all up with these cuties!
5)  Rock'n'rose Roxana headchain £22.00
Doesn't it look beautiful?? For those days when you can't get your hair to do anything or you just can't be bothered to try. Well here is the ultimate answer from Rock'n'rose

6) Taupe studded high heels Party shoes... Everyone needs a special pair of shoes that adds a little excitement to an outfit or that just goes with any outfit... Here are the shoes, the beautiful shoes that would go with anything (mostly)
[...] New Look's website won't let me get a big enough picture so you will just have to click on the link to find out what they look like ;)

What do you think of this list? Would you be happy with these gifts? :)

Happy blogging and stay tuned :)

Have you been Style-Sainted??

Hey everyone :)

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the lack of the weekly Wednesday's dream wish list this week! I haven't had much time on my hands as you must have gathered but am trying to get on top of everything this week end :)

Today's post is about StyleSaint. Ring a bell? It didn't to me either until I got an e-mail from them inviting me to join their website. Intrigued, I clicked on the link and... found myself on one of the best fashion websites ever!
StyleSaint is easy to use and understand and ANYONE can have it! It's a massive scrapbook where you "tear" the images that inspire you (fashion-wise) and make personnalised scrap books (with a title, how cool is that??). If you're really keen on StyleSaint then you can also become an editor and tear up your own photos or photos from around the web!

Anyway, I hope this inspired you to visit the website because it really is amazing.

Rain on me

Hey everyone :)

So for the past couple of days (ok, week!) I have been trying to access my Lookbook account to no avail! I could not get on it... Well, it turns out that it was Google Chrome blocking it (why??) and oh thank you Google ;) Anyway...

It hadn't rained all day... until I decided I would take some pictures, nice. Anyway, yet again I managed and have officially decided I need a nice camera that won't take fuzzy pictures in the rain arghh!

Fluffy Jacket- Ripcurl / Dress- New look / Pixie oots- Dorothy perkins / Necklace - HM

Apologies, again, for my rubbish camera, hence the rubbish photos!

Happy blogging and stay tuned :)

Teddy bear style

Halloo everyone :)

I did finally manage to take some pictures and although it was raining at the time (again? yup!) they're not too bad (and neither is :my hair hehe).
The reason this post is called "teddy bear style" is not because there are any teddy bears on my outfit (because there aren't) but because this jumper makes me feel like one. All big and cuddly and snuggly and soft and big and cute and...

Jumper - HandM (gift)
Trousers- River Island £20
Shoes- Zara 40€
Necklace- HandM (gift)

Do you have any special jumpers that make you feel this way? :)

¨PS: my project is going on well ;)

Happy blogging and stay tuned :)
